How do I know if my clients successfully onboard to Stir?

You will receive an email once your client has successfully onboarded to Stir. You can also navigate to 'Settings' in the upper-right corner and scroll down to the 'Clients' section. If it says 'Manager Access' under your client's name, then they have successfully onboarded. If it says 'Onboarding not complete,' then your client has no successfully onboarded yet.

Finally, once 1099s have been sent out, we will completely delete all personal information that we were previously required to keep — only for those who received $600 or more in a given tax year on Stir.

How do I pay an Invoice?

To pay an invoice, first open the email sent to you from Stir, announcing that you have received one. In this email, you’ll see who the invoice is from, the amount that’s due, the due date, and a description of what the invoice is for. Click the button “Review and Pay Invoice.” From this Stir page, click the “Pay invoice” button. You’ll be prompted to pay through bank or wire transfer by signing into your payment provider of choice, creating a new payment for the invoice amount, and entering the bank details noted below these instructions.

When you click on the “Pay Invoice” button, you may notice a bank account in the “Bank transfer” box that is not yours. We understand this may be confusing. The account listed is a type of “proxy account” that allows Stir to securely track and more quickly process invoice payments in a way that doesn’t require any action on your part. Funds that land in that listed account, and any amounts for Splits, will be deposited into your bank account shortly after that.
